Anywhere from $17 a month to $35,000, depending on who builds it. Here is what each price actually buys, and what ours costs, with the number on the page.

Forward OutputForward Output

A small business website costs anywhere from about $17 a month on a do-it-yourself builder to $35,000 or more from a large agency, and ours costs $2,500 or $4,500 flat depending on what you need. The spread is that wide because "a website" covers everything from a template you fill in yourself to a custom build with a team behind it. Here is what each price range actually buys, so you can tell whether a quote is fair.

The spread is that wide because "a website" covers everything from a template you fill in yourself to a custom build with a team behind it.

We are putting our own numbers in this post on purpose. Most builders make you book a call to find out what they charge. We would rather you know before you call, and decide whether it is worth your time.

The three ways a website gets built

Do it yourself on a builder. Wix, Squarespace, and the like run roughly $15 to $50 a month, according to Elementor's 2026 breakdown, which matches every other source we checked. The software is cheap. The cost is your time, and the result depends entirely on your eye for design and your patience with settings menus. For a business where the site is just an address on a business card, this can be enough.

What the builder does not do is the part that gets you found. A search engine needs to be told, in a form it can read, what you do, what towns you cover, and that you are a real business with an address and hours. That means page titles and descriptions written on purpose, local business markup behind the page, a sitemap, a site fast enough that Google does not mark it down, and a Google Business Profile linked to it. A builder gives you a box for each of those and leaves it empty. Most owners never find the box, and the site goes live looking fine and saying nothing a search engine can use. That is the difference between a site that exists and a site that gets found, and it is the reason a lot of businesses with a nice-looking DIY site still get no calls from it.

A builder gives you a box for each of those and leaves it empty.

Hire a freelancer. The same sources put a custom freelance build between $2,000 and $8,000, one time. You get a real person making design decisions. What you get after launch depends on whether that person is still around and still taking calls.

Hire an agency. Roughly $10,000 to $35,000 for a small business site, and more for anything with online sales or customer logins. You are paying for a team, a process, and usually somebody to keep the site alive afterward.

Our builds are priced like a freelancer and include what an agency includes.

Our builds sit in the freelancer range and include what an agency includes. That is not a slogan, it is the reason the business exists, and it is why we can be specific below.

What ours costs

Starter, $2,500 flat. Up to five pages, built to work on a phone first, a contact form that goes to your email the moment somebody submits it, website analytics, and the full on-page search groundwork: page titles and descriptions, local business markup, a sitemap, and a fast site. One revision round. Seven business days from the day we have your content.

Growth, $4,500 flat. Up to ten pages, custom animation, lead capture and live chat, and the same search groundwork. Three revision rounds. For the first three months after launch, you send us content changes and we make them, up to two a month, within two business days. Ten business days from content.

Premium, custom quote. Up to twenty pages, web-app features like online booking or a customer portal, content writing, and ongoing content updates. Three to six weeks. Priced per project because no two of these look alike.

Flat means flat. The number on the proposal is the number you pay.

Flat means flat. The number on the proposal is the number you pay, and there is no hourly clock running. Starter and Growth are half up front and half at launch.

The costs that quotes leave out

This is where a cheap quote gets expensive, so here is how we handle each one.

The domain. Your web address costs $12 to $20 a year from a registrar. If you do not have one, we register it for you and the first two years are included in the price. After that it renews in your name, and it is yours the whole time.

Search groundwork. A lot of quotes leave the search setup out and sell it back as a package. Ours includes it on every tier, identically. A site that Google cannot read is not finished.

Ownership. Some builders keep the site on their platform, and leaving means starting over. Ours transfers to you when the final payment clears. If you ever leave, the content and the domain go with you.

Changes after launch. On Starter, changes after handoff are billed as they come up, or through a monthly retainer if you want a standing arrangement. Growth includes the first three months of small changes.

Photos. If your own photos are not good enough for a site, and for a lot of trades they are not, we offer a half-day shoot for $750 as a line item on the project. Only as part of a build, never on its own.

What decides which one you need

Page count is the honest answer. Count the things a customer needs to know before calling you: what you do, where you do it, what it costs, who you are, how to reach you. For most trade businesses in Adams County that is four or five pages, and Starter covers it. If you have several service lines that each deserve their own page, or you want live chat and lead capture, that is Growth. If you need people to book, pay, or log in on the site, that is Premium.

Count the things a customer needs to know before calling you. That is your page count.

If you are not sure, that is what the mockup is for.

How to find out without spending anything

We build a homepage mockup for your business before you pay anything. A real page, built from your services and your photos, so you can look at it and decide whether it beats what you have now. If it does, the proposal comes at one of the flat prices above. If it does not, you have lost nothing and you still know what a site should cost.

Get in touch and we will build it.
